This following photo is show people one of the things that makes Sentimental Silver different from other personalized jewelry.   Our pieces are substantial!   There’s a lot of silver in there, especially with a double sided piece, and the silver used to make our pendants is more pure than sterling silver.  We use what is referred to as “fine” silver, which is 99.9% pure silver, compared to sterling silver, which is 92.5% pure silver.  We create our pieces entirely by hand – they start out as a lump of pure silver clay, and are molded, shaped and personalized into whatever style the customer orders.

I won’t lie.  I love Facebook.  It’s so awesome to reconnect with friends I haven’t seen or spoken to since grade school, and it’s also fabulous to see and hear about the little every day moments of my nieces and nephews who I see regularly.

Though with my house basically being one big rotating virus right now, this is more what i need…

Now this next one would be PERFECT for my husband.  He loves pb&j sandwiches.   He could (and practically does) eat them EVERY day.

Ha, and while looking at things for my husband, this is PERFECT for any guitar playing, pancake making Dad…

I think I need this one.  Given my love for Hello Kitty.  And my computer nerd husband (said with love and admiration).

Hmm…. I wonder if this would be enough to get my child to do the dishes…

I’ve come to the conclusion that anytime I need to buy a gift, and do not know what to get, this website will be my saving grace.  Love it!

And here is an example of 16″, 18″ and 24″ chains, all shown together.   As you can see there is not a great deal of difference between the 16″ and 18″, though the 24″ is a fair amount longer than both.

If you are buying a necklace for a little girl, I think a 14″ chain works very well up until about age eight, depending on the size of the child.    My daughter started wearing a 14″ chain at age three, and still wears it comfortably at age seven.

Than. I. Made. The. Cake.

Oh boy. First few layers were okay, but than it started to get a bit wobbly, than a bit uneven, than layers started splitting. I did what any desperate baker would do, doubled my batch of frosting in a desperate attempt to seal that sucker in so much buttercream that it wouldn’t go anywhere. Yeah. Not so much. The frosting started falling off the sides of the cake, and taking chunks of cake with it. It just kept going from bad to worse, so I threw my hands up and accepted baking defeat. I felt like the poor contestents on Cake Challange. The bad loser ones.

So I showed it to Bella (no big reveal) and God bless this child, she told me “it’s the prettiest cake I’ve ever seen, and that frosting, it’s just like clouds with the rainbows”. She’s the best. Well that and she really loves cake and probably wanted to secure a piece. But either way. Here is the “creation”.

While not what I wanted it to be, it is quite colorful and cheery.

And she was happy. And really, that's what mattered.

And not long after Rick’s birthday, it was time to celebrate Bella’s 7th Birthday.  I don’t know how my baby is growing up SO FAST.  I sure wish she’s slow up a bit!

I’m pretty sure she enjoyed all the celebrating and attention that came with her birthday!

Now we head in to Valentine’s Day.  All of our Valentine’s Day orders have shipped, and I’ve even picked up some Valentine goodies for Bella.  Now to fill out 26 cards for her class tonight!
